| 日間評估 | |
| 天文台在上午6時15分至中午12時前發出八號或以上熱帶氣旋警告信號或黑色暴雨警告信號 | 當日上午9時至下午6時舉行的所有日間評估將會取消。 |
| 夜間評估 | |
| 天文台在中午12時或以後發出八號或以上熱帶氣旋警告信號或黑色暴雨警告信號 | 當日下午6時至晚上10時舉行的所有夜間評估將會取消。 |

| 八號或以上熱帶氣旋警告信號生效 | 有關評估將即時停止。 |
| 黑色暴雨警告信號生效 | 有關評估仍會繼續進行，直至完結為止。 |

| Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal no.8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Signal is issued by The Observatory before 6:15 a.m. and 12:00 noon | All daytime assessments scheduled between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on that day will be cancelled. |
| Evening assessment | |
| Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal no.8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Signal is issued by The Observatory at 12:00 noon or after | All evening assessments scheduled between 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on that day will be cancelled. |
